We sincerely thank Lucas Craftsmanship for completing a beautiful two-story addition to our Heights bungalow. Billy, Danny and Steven were wonderful throughout the project and made the process as painless as possible. They were accomodating and considerate of our privacy, as we lived in a portion of the house during the construction. We really cannot put into words how pleased we are with Lucas Craftsmanship. From pre-planning, demolition, construction, trim out and punch work they were consummate professionals. The attention to details, small to large, and the high level of integrity still has us impressed. We highly recommend Lucas Craftsmanship for any home project.
This project consisted of the addition of 1050 sq,ft. of space to an existing 2300 S.F. Heights bungalow. Also requested was the use of the addition to connect to an existing uncompleted garage apartment to be used as the children's get-away, and a guest room. The main focus of the project was for the addition and for the reconfigured existing room to flow better for contemporary living and frequent entertaining. Running the length of the house, a deck which opens off the formal living area, master bathroom, dining room, and great-room addition was added to visually tie and unify the entire design, as well as allow for outdoor dining, and the easy flow of guests while entertaining. A well-known Houston caterer was used as the kitchen consultant. And, a circle drive at the front of the house allows for easy flow of guests.
A New 1100 S.F. structure was requested to house a Houston couple's large art collection. The space is used for rotation and storage of the ever-growing collection as well as entertaining friends. The ground floor functions as a poolhouse and art storage with a custom-made stacks system. The second floor has a full bath and kitchenette off of the open gallery space. Custom lighting fixtures and orientation of large, upper windows on the North side allow for the perfect gallery lighting while allowing a view of the surrounding treetops without giving up wall space. A maple-paneled ceiling and flooring add to the nature experience in the inner-city space.
One hears many complaints about home remodeling contractors, so we were very pleased with the service we received from Lucas Craftsmanship. There were no unexplained delays, and the couple of times we discovered a problem they addressed it promptly. The workers always cleaned up well before they left for the day, which was considerate. And - best of all - our kitchen and new powder room look great!
Billy, Danny and the entire team at LCI are outstanding contractors, businessmen and friends! We were excited to select them for our project because of their enthusiasm and no nonsense approach during the bid process, and it was the best decision we could have made. Lucas Craftsmanship Inc. built an addition, kitchen, bathroom, as well as completely remodeled the existing 1915 bungalow we bought in Houston Woodland Heights. Their team of men were very professional during the entire process. They were on time, quick to respond to any inquiries, worked well with our architect, came in on budget, and finished exactly on the date promised. Billy and Danny were present on site everyday and demanded the highest quality jobs from all their sub-contractors. The work site was kept clean through-out the project both inside and outside. They were respectful of the existing architecture and plants on the property. The family all has a wonderful sense of humor and made the six month project a lot of fun. They followed up after the completion of the project to make sure everything continues to be working to our satisfaction. Most importantly they were very respectful of my "overly-developed" attention to detail. Their fine work resulted in a beautiful, finely crafted home for my husband and I to enjoy.
